**Heartbreaking Loss: Remembering Leon Arundel**
A tragedy has struck the community of Carmarthen, leaving family and friends in mourning. At just 14, Leon Arundel tragically lost his life after a collision involving a motorbike and a tractor. The crash occurred near a farm between Carmarthen and St Clears, and despite valiant efforts by the medical staff, Leon succumbed to his injuries the following day at University Hospital of Wales.
Coroner Gareth Lewis expressed heartfelt condolences to Leon’s family and friends during the inquest, which is currently adjourned as investigations by Dyfed-Powys Police continue.
Leon was a beloved member of Ysgol Dyffryn Taf and his passing has left an irreplaceable void. The school fondly recalled him as a brilliant and caring student, deeply valued by peers and teachers alike. In a touching tribute, they pledged ongoing support for students and staff affected by this loss.
St Clears AFC, where Leon was a passionate footballer, also shared their grief: “We as a club are devastated to share the heartbreaking news that one of our own, Leon Arundel – just 14 years old – has sadly passed away following a tragic accident. Our deepest condolences and love go out to his family, friends, and teammates.” All club fixtures have been postponed this weekend in his honour.
