π¦ Traffic Chaos in Bristol: Stuck for Hours at Cabot Circus Car Park! π

Imagine heading back to your car after a shopping spree only to be trapped for four hours! That’s exactly what some unlucky motorists experienced at the Cabot Circus car park. A traffic light malfunction left many drivers unable to exit, turning a simple trip into a patience-testing ordeal.

Arron Howe, one of the drivers, waited about 1.5 hours, but others weren’t so fortunate. A mum with her baby was stuck for nearly four hours as confusion reigned. “There was no communication,” she shared, echoing the frustration felt by many.
Apparently, the traffic lights around Cabot Circus went haywire, creating bumper-to-bumper madness. To pile on the woes, a protest led to the closure of Redcliffe Hill, leaving drivers no choice but to reroute, clogging the roads even further. ππ¨
Arron noted, “We got back just before 6pm, and were quite lucky with an hour and a half wait.” But for those on higher levels, especially the eighth floor, it wasnβt the same story. Reports say only one exit barrier was open initially, and communication was virtually non-existent.
Security staff tried to manage the chaos on lower levels, but those on higher levels felt left in the dark. Some shoppers who werenβt locals vowed never to return after such an experience, with the festive season rush just around the corner raising fears of further chaos.
