A former football club chairman and taxi driver, Nicky O’Connor, is facing serious accusations in Swansea Crown Court. O’Connor, previously connected with Swansea’s Plough Colts FC and driving for Oyster Cabs, is on trial for allegedly committing 15 sexual offences against women. The charges range from exposure to sexual assault. His accusers include an off-duty policewoman, a college student, and a cab passenger.

The alleged incidents reportedly took place between February 2023 and October 2024 in locations from a supermarket car park to Merthyr town centre and Gower village. O’Connor, 35, has denied all allegations. In his testimony, he refuted exposing himself to a passenger, showing any inappropriate videos, locking her in the cab, or making unwanted advances. He explained his choice of wearing shorts due to ongoing medical issues related to “problems down there,” which he claims have caused him long-term discomfort and sought medical attention for.

O’Connor has pleaded not guilty to nine counts of exposure, five counts of sexual assault, and one count of attempted sexual assault. The trial is still ongoing. Keep an eye on developments to see how this unfolds.
