Heartbreaking scenes unfolded in Barry when a loving dad, Kamran Aman, 38, tragically lost his life after being fatally stabbed. Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, are on trial, denying murder but admitting manslaughter.

During the trial at Cardiff Crown Court, a witness shared how she watched one of the boys grab a knife, prompting her to warn the victim, “He’s got a knife, run.” Despite her warning, an altercation ensued, resulting in Kamran being fatally injured. The violent encounter was caught on camera, capturing chilling moments where racial slurs were also used.
The witness recounted the scuffle between Kamran and the 16-year-old, which took a deadly turn once the 17-year-old returned with the knife. Despite attempts to defend himself with keys gripped tightly, Kamran couldn’t fend off the fatal blow to his chest. The witness vividly described the horror, recalling the 17-year-old swinging the knife and witnessing it make contact.

As Kamran realised the severity of his injuries, he managed to walk to a nearby house where the witness urged him to lay down in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Sadly, the loving father didn’t survive the horrific attack.
The defendants, from Llantwit Major, remain anonymous due to their age, protected by a court order. The trial continues as family and friends seek justice for Kamran, a devoted husband and father who was taken too soon.
Our thoughts are with Kamran’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Stay tuned for more updates on this unfolding trial.
