🎱 Snooker sensation Judd Trump is through to the semi-finals in Saudi Arabia after a surprising victory over Mark Williams! Trump dominated with a 4-0 win, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the world number one. 😬
Despite the scoreline, Trump revealed he was left feeling jittery due to Williams’ unexpected mistakes. “Mark was missing everything, which made me even more nervous,” Trump admitted. It’s rare to see the three-time World Champion off his game, and Trump was quick to make the most of it!
Going into the match, Trump found Williams to be a unique opponent, praising his unusual style and remarkable ability to pot tricky shots. “He’s definitely one of the best at potting strange balls,” Trump remarked before the match.
This win solidifies Trump’s strong record against the Welshman, now leading 24-12 in their meetings. However, Williams had previously triumphed over Trump at the Crucible earlier this year, so the rivalry is intense!
Trump now sets his sights on another former world champion, Zhao Xintong, in the semi-final. With a change back to his trusty old cue after experimenting with a new one, Trump hopes to find his top form again.
“It is hard to play your best when you are trying to find the right cue. But I’m battling through,” Trump shared. Always striving for perfection, he promises to keep pushing until everything aligns.
The Riyadh Season Snooker Championship is proving to be a thrilling tournament, with stunning performances and top-notch competition. Can Trump clinch another victory? We’ll be watching closely! 🏆 Stay tuned for more updates from the snooker world! 🎱✨
