Who needs the Alps when you’ve got the Preselis? A group of adventurous friends took advantage of the unexpected winter wonderland in Pembrokeshire, skiing down the snow-laden Preseli hills. Christian Morris, living near Narberth, shared his excitement: “It was absolutely fantastic to ski my local hills! The snow conditions were astonishing, nearly half a metre deep.”

Missing ski lifts? No problem! Christian brought his own magic – a portable rope tow, the Zoa PL1, a nifty gadget from Canada’s Dragons’ Den, perfect for these rare snowy days in Wales. “I ski in Wales whenever possible,” Christian said enthusiastically. “The terrain is perfect for it!”

With schools in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire closing due to freezing temperatures, locals are embracing these rare skiing opportunities. Who would’ve thought Wales could offer such a breathtaking skiing experience right at home?
