🎄🎉 Swansea’s Christmas Parade Sparkles! 🎉🎄

This past Sunday, Swansea city-centre dazzled with festive magic as thousands gathered for the annual Christmas parade. Kicking off the holiday season in style, Santa Claus launched the festivities by lighting up the Guildhall in brilliant red and set the night sky ablaze with fireworks!

The parade was a feast for the senses, featuring illuminated floats, spirited community groups, marching bands, and whimsical, larger-than-life characters parading down St Helens Road and the Kingsway. Entertainment was in full swing with live performances near the Guildhall, adding to the joy and excitement.

A unique highlight this year? The debut of the Living Snow Globe, an enchanting interactive spectacle starring a Snow Queen in her frosty realm. Also stealing the show was the Witches of Oz float, complete with the Good Witch in pink and the Wicked Witch in green!
As the parade reached the main stage, broadcaster Kev Johns had the crowd buzzing with excitement just in time for Santa’s grand entrance. Santa lit up the city by switching on the Christmas lights and the towering tree, followed by another mesmerising fireworks display.
More than 40 community groups joined the procession, including Mellin Theatre Arts, One Heart Drummers, and Bonymaen Kids Play Initiative, showcasing Swansea’s rich community spirit.
Swansea Council Leader Rob Stewart proudly stated, “Swansea truly came alive as thousands joined us for our spectacular Christmas Parade.” He added, “It really was another fantastic event organised by Swansea Council—a wonderful celebration of Swansea’s spirit and a fantastic way to start Christmas together.”
