Wrexham’s Josh Windass has stirred the pot by cheekily criticising Sheffield United’s victory celebrations on live TV! During Sky Sports’ coverage of Sheffield United’s smashing 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, Windass, a former Wednesday player, suggested United’s post-match jubilation was a bit over the top.
The Blades soared to victory with star performances from Tyrese Campbell and Tom Cannon. But while United fans were over the moon, Windass wasn’t shy in expressing that he thought their reactions were overblown, given they were the favourites. His top quote? “I’m not sure about all these celebrations.”
Though he praised their gameplay, fans of the Blades weren’t impressed with his take, with some calling his comments “bitter.” Meanwhile, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder took the high road, commending players like Barry Bannan for their perseverance amidst Wednesday’s tough times.
As all this drama unfolds, Wrexham keeps making waves, backed by Hollywood stars and attracting a global fanbase. Whether you side with Windass or the Blades, there’s no denying the sparks flying in the Championship right now! Let us know what you think in the comments! ⚽️🔥
