Breaking News: Face masks are now a must at several hospitals in Wales due to a spike in flu cases. From today, all staff and visitors at Cwm Taf Morgannwg health board’s facilities, including Royal Glamorgan and Prince Charles Hospitals, will need to mask up for at least a week. Masks will be available at the entrances, don’t worry!

Why, you ask? The flu virus is on the rise, especially at Royal Glamorgan, and is spreading to other sites. To keep everyone safe, it’s crucial to curb this trend.

Visiting someone in hospital? Please consider getting the flu or Covid jab if you haven’t already, wash hands frequently, and only head to the hospital if you really have to. If you are feeling unwell or have been around someone who’s sick, it’s best to avoid visiting for now.
Experts are warning this could be the harshest flu season in a decade, so let’s look out for each other. Australian hospitals faced their biggest flu season yet, indicating we could experience a similar pattern.
Thinking about getting the flu vaccine? In Wales, some groups can receive it free via their GP. If that’s not an option, pay-for slots are generally available at local pharmacies, and walk-ins may be an option.
Stay safe and spread only kindness, not germs!
