🚨 Big Police Bust in Newport! 🚨
In a twist straight out of a crime drama, police unearthed more than they’d expected during a bust in Newport. Investigating reports of a brothel in town, officers stumbled upon a haul of drugs and cash instead. Talk about a surprise!
Meet Shay Williams, just 21, caught with a stash including £700 of cocaine, and a jaw-dropping £2,805 in cash. Oh, and a pair of snazzy Burberry trainers worth £500—because why not mix a little style with business, right?
During the raid, Shay made a run for it through a garden (pro-tip: it rarely works), but was quickly caught. What made things worse for him? His phone. Police found drug-related messages all over it.
Fast forward to the Newport Crown Court sentencing. With a previous conviction under his belt, Shay pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and attempting to go straight after falling into debt due to his cannabis habit. As much as he tried to escape his past, luck wasn’t on his side. He even had a gig lined up as a driver just a week before his arrest.
His sentence? Three years behind bars. A story that reminds us all: crime doesn’t pay, and there’s always more than meets the eye.
