🚨 Heads up, pensioners! The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is rolling out Winter Fuel Payments, and it’s time to check those bank statements! đź’°

Over nine million pensioners across England and Wales will receive up to ÂŁ300 to help with those winter energy bills. Look out for the six-letter code “DWP WFP” on your bank statements to confirm you’ve received your payment. The DWP has started dishing out the funds, and most should see it in their accounts by mid-December.
🏠The payment amount varies depending on your circumstances—whether you live alone, in care, or qualify for any additional benefits, so keep an eye on it!

⚠️ Be aware of scams! Remember, the government will never ask you for your bank details to get this payment. Any suspicious text messages should be ignored, especially ones asking you to click on links—forward them to 7726 instead.
If you haven’t seen the payment by January 28, 2026, give the Winter Fuel Payment Centre a ring at 0800 731 0160.
Minister for Pensions, Torsten Bell, reassures: “If your payment hasn’t arrived, don’t worry. We’re rolling them out through November and December. Stay alert; we won’t ask for personal info via text.” 📞
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your winter knowing your energy bills are a bit more covered! 🌨️
