💔 Heartbreaking Update on Quadbike Tragedy 💔
A significant development has emerged following the tragic death of 20-year-old Ethan Powell from Brynmawr. The young man was found at the scene of a quadbike crash on the A465, between Rhymney and Dowlais, in May. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
A 41-year-old man named Gavin Davies, from Merthyr, has been charged in connection with the incident. The charges are serious, including causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance, perverting the course of justice, and failing to stop after the accident. He is set to appear in court this January.
Ethan’s family remembers him as a beacon of light in their lives. “Ethan had the kindest of souls and the biggest of hearts,” they shared. “He was the funniest of characters and always knew how to light up a room. He will forever live on through his sisters Eleanor and Isabella, as we remember him every second of every day.”
In a show of solidarity and remembrance, mourners gathered near Crickhowell Castle to pay tribute to Ethan, sharing stories of his warmth and humour.
This case has been a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the enduring impact of losing someone so young. Let’s keep Ethan’s memory alive and hold his family in our thoughts.
