⚠️ Llanbradach’s High Street witnessed a shocking incident earlier this year. A naked man, identified as 65-year-old Jeffrey Warrington, approached a woman while holding his erect penis, shouting for her to “come here”.
The former university lecturer was only wearing black sliders when he approached the lone woman on her way home. Thankfully, a passing motorist intervened, yelling at Warrington to leave her alone.
When arrested, Warrington claimed he didn’t think it was illegal to walk around naked, noting it “helps to relieve his depression”. Despite his lack of previous convictions, the court heard of his past struggles with alcohol and mental health.
The woman has since expressed lingering anxiety, fearing what could have happened. Such incidents highlight the importance of ensuring women feel safe in public spaces.
Warrington, who pleaded guilty to exposure, was given an 18-month community order, including a rehabilitation course, and will be a registered sex offender for the next five years. Let’s hope this serves as a reminder of the impact these actions have and the importance of respecting everyone’s right to feel safe. 💪🌟
