🚨 Fly-tipping scandal caught on camera! 🚨

Fresh CCTV footage has unveiled a suspected serial fly-tipper in action on Pottery Road, one of Newport’s dirtiest hotspots. This street in Pillgwenlly has been plagued by fly-tipping for over three years, turning it into an unsightly mess with everything from used nappies to animal bones littering the area. Residents are fed up, citing a growing rat problem with rodents even entering gardens and mingling with toddlers! 🐀

Thanks to Newport City Council’s new CCTV cameras, we’ve got a clear view of the latest culprit boldly dumping rubbish in broad daylight. The council is on it and has committed to cracking down on illegal waste disposal. In fact, they’ve already removed some of the mess and are ramping up enforcement efforts. 📹
A council spokesperson stated, “We’re getting tough on fly-tipping. Our efforts have already led to a 23.9% decrease in incidents citywide compared to last year, but we know there’s more work to do.” They’ve requested community support in nabbing offenders by reporting any suspicious activity or footage.
