Rhyl High School will be closing its doors on 12th December to honour the life of Angela Shellis, a cherished teaching assistant. Angela, who sadly passed away, left an indelible mark as a “caring and committed” member of the school community. The decision allows staff to attend the funeral and pay their respects. The school reassures everyone that students can access lessons online via Google Classrooms on that day. For those eligible for free school meals, grab bags will be available for collection.
The headteacher expressed deep gratitude for understanding during this challenging time, acknowledging the impact of the closure on families. The school community stands together, keeping Angela and her loved ones in their hearts.
Angela Shellis was a beloved team member since 2023 and is remembered fondly by colleagues and students alike. Our thoughts are with her family and friends as they navigate through this difficult period.
