🏉 Tough times for Welsh rugby! Saturday’s defeat was a hard pill to swallow as Wales suffered a 73-0 loss to South Africa. The match, played outside the international window, raised eyebrows and questions about the rugby system.
Wales legend Graham Price wasn’t impressed. He believes the root issue lies in the forwards’ lack of power, something that’s been haunting the team throughout the autumn matches. The team looked shell-shocked against the reigning world champions, with fans hoping for a competitive face-off – sadly, it was anything but. 🤦♂️
The Springboks have a tried-and-tested formula, producing top-notch props who dominate in scrummaging. Wales needs to shift gears and focus on nurturing these talents to bring back the glory days.
Past heroes like Adam Jones and Gethin Jenkins set high standards. Jenkins was renowned for his defensive prowess, while Jones anchored the scrum with unmatched skill. This generation needs a similar focus on scrum strength to thrive on the global stage.
Dave Redding has his work cut out as he takes the reins on improving the current rugby system. It’s a tall order, but with the nation’s hopes resting on his shoulders, let’s hope he can change the game. 🏆 Share your thoughts – how do you think Wales can bounce back? 💬 #WelshRugby #ScrumDown #GrahamPrice
