Cardiff City Update: Manager Brian Barry-Murphy has quashed links to Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice ahead of the January transfer window. Contrary to recent rumours, there are no plans to bring the talented 19-year-old to the Bluebirds. However, Cardiff is gearing up for potential Premier League interest in their rising stars, with seven top-flight clubs reportedly eyeing teenage defender Dylan Lawlor and young prospect Ronan Kpakio.

Barry-Murphy acknowledges that bigger clubs often swoop in on emerging talent, but he remains focused on retaining Cardiff’s promising players. “It would be naïve to think there wouldn’t be clubs watching our young players,” he explained. The club is keen to give these talents ample opportunities, enhancing their development within the Academy structure. The manager added, “Nothing’s changed in terms of how important those players are for our club.”
Even with interest from prestigious clubs, Barry-Murphy insists there’s no pressure to sell their young prospects during the January window. Confident in Cardiff’s stance, he affirmed, “We don’t have to sell any players. That’s not changed. And from my point of view, I hope they all stay!”

Stay tuned for more updates on Cardiff City’s journey and keep cheering for the Bluebirds as they continue to nurture talent and build for a bright future. 💙⚽️
