🚨 Bird Flu Alert in Cardiff 🚨
Attention Cardiff residents! Avian flu has been confirmed after a swan was found dead at Cardiff Bay. More birds at Roath Park Lake and Hendre Lake are also being tested. While it’s rare for bird flu to jump to humans, it’s important to stay cautious.
🐦 What You Need to Know:
– Avoid contact with sick or dead birds to keep safe.
– Skip feeding wild birds, as this could help the flu spread.
– If you come across a dead bird or its droppings, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Reporting is crucial. If you spot any dead birds, please let DEFRA/APHA know through their online tool or call 03459 33 55 77. Together, let’s keep our feathered friends and our community safe! 💪✨
Stay informed, Cardiff! 🌍
