Welsh rugby fans, here’s a sizzling match to look forward to! Louis Rees-Zammit is set to make a thrilling return to Wales this weekend as Bristol Bears take on the Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets for the opening round of the Investec Champions Cup. Rees-Zammit is stepping in for the injured Jack Bates, ready to bring his pace and flair to the game. He recently made a strong appearance off the bench against Northampton Saints, reassuring fans he’s fit and raring to go.
Ellis Genge, the England and British and Irish Lions powerhouse, is the only other tweak in the Bears’ line-up. Coach Pat Lam has high hopes, noting that Rees-Zammit is “buzzing and looking pretty good.”
Over at the Scarlets camp, coach Dwayne Peel has made a few strategic changes, with Welsh internationals Tom Rogers, Johnny Williams, and Ellis Mee joining the backline. Despite a rocky start in the United Rugby Championship, Peel remains optimistic: “It’s awesome to be back in the Champions Cup after three years. With a solid win over Glasgow last week, we’re pumped for this Anglo-Welsh showdown!”
Expect a nail-biting clash full of energy and excitement, showcasing the rich rugby tradition at Parc y Scarlets. With the Anglo-Welsh rivalry adding an extra kick, it’s set to be a thrilling night of rugby. Get ready to cheer your team on, and let’s enjoy a cracker of a match! 🏉🔥
