🏡 When a millionaire dad had enough of the standard school system, he took matters into his own hands—and back garden! Samuel Leeds, a savvy property developer, decided his kids deserved more than the UK’s “rigid” and “oppressive” education system offered. So, he built a 600-square-foot mini-school for £150,000 right at home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire! 🏫👷♂️
Now a classroom hotspot, this sleek space hosts 12 children, including Samuel’s own four, plus some of his nieces and nephews. With two dedicated teachers on board, one for English and another for maths, they’re getting a tailor-made education. Samuel even jumps in, teaching financial literacy and critical thinking—a subject he feels traditional schools often skip. 📚💡
Samuel was particularly irked by the lack of business and finance education in curriculum; something he values given his own successful entrepreneurial journey. He fondly recalls leaving school at 16, labelled as ‘unaspirational,’ only to thrive in the business world. Now, he’s committed to offering a different path for his kids. 🌟
The family’s unique educational setup even allows them flexibility to travel to their homes in Dubai and Zimbabwe, continuing studies on the go. Parents are reportedly eager to relocate nearby, hoping their children can join this innovative school experience that seems more financial savvy too—far less than private school fees! 🏝️✈️
For Samuel, reimagining his kids’ education wasn’t just a bold move; it’s also turned out to be surprisingly cost-effective. He didn’t set out to save money, but by hiring teachers and avoiding private school fees, he’s certainly tapped into a smart financial plan. 💰🧑🏫
