Former Strictly star Brendan Cole has shared his candid views on this year’s contestants Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin. Despite their flawless performances and perfect 40 scores, Brendan feels there’s no excitement in watching them because Amber seems so well-trained. He told SkyVegas that while their Charleston routine was strong, he finds it lacks the risk factor that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.
On the flip side, Brendan praised Lewis Cope’s Salsa performance as being more of a spectacle, even though it didn’t hit the technical mark. Unfortunately for Lewis, that meant an exit from the show after ending up in the bottom two alongside Amber. Sunday night saw the judges, after a tense dance-off, save Amber and Nikita, putting them through to the semi-finals with celebrities Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, and Karen Carney.
Lewis, the former Emmerdale star, didn’t leave without gratitude. He said on the show that being part of Strictly was more than he could have ever wished for, expressing deep appreciation for his dance partner, Katya Jones. Their partnership brought Lewis joy and growth, making his 11-week journey unforgettable.
