Drama in the skies! A Welsh woman, Lisa Regan, and her ex-husband, Phillip Jones, got an unexpected welcome home as police escorted them off an easyJet flight in a dramatic drugs bust. The couple from Swansea found themselves in handcuffs after landing back in the UK when police politely asked, “Would you both mind coming with us?”

Turns out, Lisa and Phillip were part of a major operation supplying hefty amounts of cocaine to dealers across Wales. Their side gig? Laundering cash through a local café! Things took a turn for the worse when photos popped up showing Phillip expertly handling a kilo of cocaine.

In court, the duo admitted to their roles in the drug ring. Lisa, 53, received a sentence of seven years and four months, while Phillip, 44, will spend six years and eight months behind bars. But they’re not the only ones cooling their heels in a cell! A third man, Tracy Lewis, from Carmarthenshire, got himself caught in the web too. He was snagged purchasing drugs from Lisa and running his own operation. Tracy, 54, has been sentenced to six years after admitting to multiple drug offences, including the supply of cocaine, crack, and cannabis.
Sergeant Luke Tucker emphasised the impact of their arrests, noting how this trio’s takedown has made local communities safer. “They thought they were untouchable, but their removal from society is a win for us all,” he said.
It’s a stark reminder that no one is above the law, no matter how foolproof they think their antics are. Stay safe, everyone, and think twice before getting involved in shady dealings!
