π¨ Exciting news for Welsh rugby fans! π¨ The Welsh Rugby Union is making bold moves to boost our squad before the 2027 Rugby World Cup by eyeing New Zealand’s young talent, Tahlor Cahill! ππ

This 22-year-old Crusaders lock, whoβs also been part of the New Zealand U20s, has strong Welsh roots through his grandparent. With impressive game time in Super Rugby Pacific, he’s seen as a valuable addition to our national team. π
Cahill hasn’t made any decisions yet, but if he chooses to wear the Welsh jersey, expect to see heated competition among the three Welsh teams for his signature. The WRU’s dream would be for him to play on this side of the Severn Bridge, although English clubs might also be keen.

With Wales experiencing a mix of results recently, including a tough 73-0 game against South Africa, it’s clear there’s a push for fresh talent. Head coach Steve Tandy has been vocal about the need to uncover and connect with Welsh-qualified players globally, and Cahill fits right into this strategy.

If Cahill joins us, heβll be following the path of other notable New Zealand-born stars who’ve represented Wales, adding new strength and depth to our side. Letβs see if he takes the leap and becomes the latest addition to Team Wales! π€π
