Reflecting on her journey, Karen once said her life might have stayed familiar if she hadn’t chased football: “My first job was at Sainsbury’s—I probably would’ve just worked my way up there.” Thank goodness she brought her A-game to football instead, dazzling us with 32 international goals and appearances in four World Cups and the 2012 Olympics! ⚽️
