🌟 Exciting News for Rhondda Cynon Taf! 🌟
Introducing the names of two brand-new schools opening next September! 🎓✨
🏫 First up, Ysgol Cambrian in Clydach Vale will serve as a fresh additional learning needs (ALN) school. Following a robust consultation, the governing body, with feedback from pupil reps, chose this name from options like Ysgol Bryn Awel and Ysgol Llyn Clydach.
🏫 In Glyncoch, the new primary school set to open is named Ysgol Gynradd Glyn-coch. After replacing Cefn and Craig-yr-Hesg schools, the name reflects a commitment to promoting the Welsh language. Considered options included Fern Community School and Glyn-coch Community School, but the community opted for a Welsh-only name.
Both names were approved on Monday, December 15. Keep an eye out for these educational additions in 2026. 🎉
Feel free to share your thoughts or memories about your school days in the comments!
