If you or someone you know has allergies, you’ll want to read this! The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent alert about certain Dubai-style chocolates being sold in the UK. Known for their unique fillings of pistachio, tahini, and shredded filo pastry, these chocolates have become a hit lately. But there’s a catch! Some of them contain peanuts and sesame, which are not marked on the packaging 😟.

Rebecca Sudworth from the FSA is urging those with allergies to steer clear of these treats. She warns: “If you’re picking chocolates as a gift for someone with allergies, avoid these products to be safe.”

While the FSA works on investigating these products, allergy sufferers are advised to be cautious. The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) has also chimed in, reminding food businesses to clearly label allergens, as failing to do so is not only illegal but potentially dangerous.

If you’re one of the lucky ones without allergies, feel free to enjoy these, especially from trusted brands and retailers. But if allergies are a concern, it’s best to give these specific chocolates a miss until more information is available. 🍫🚫
