Four lads in Bristol have come up with possibly the cutest way to befriend their neighbour’s dog! These dog-loving engineers found themselves in a bit of a pickle when they moved into a rented house with a strict “no pets” policy. Their hearts went out when they spotted the neighbour’s adorable Sheprador, Stevie Ticks, gazing at them from across the street. Desperate for some furry friendship, they decided to reach out in the most endearing way: a letter!

The charming note began: “We are four engineers that have recently moved into the area… If you ever need someone to walk your four-legged friend, we’ll gladly do so.” The boys signed off with heartfelt sincerity, hoping their gesture wouldn’t go unnoticed.

The response? Nothing short of heart-melting! Crafted on behalf of the two-year-old Stevie Ticks, the reply delighted the boys with its playful charm, starting with “Dearest Boys, what a treat it was to receive your letter!” Stevie, full of beans and eager to make new friends, extended a heartwarming invitation to hang out, complete with a genuine paw print. The letter signed off with “Lots of love (and licks), Stevie Ticks.”

One of the lads, Jack McCrossan, couldn’t resist sharing the brilliant exchange on social media, and the internet quickly fell in love. Comments poured in, with people declaring it the “most wholesome thing” they’d seen and expressing a surprising urge to move into the neighbourhood themselves!
Since then, the boys have moved on, but little Stevie continues to thrive in Bristol, boasting over 86,000 followers on Instagram. Whether she’s frolicking with her owners or being showered with well-deserved attention, it’s clear this pooch is living her best life. And to think, it all started with a simple yet sincere letter! 🐾💌
