Distressing footage has been released by Merseyside Police, showing Doyle’s vehicle, a Ford Galaxy, hurtling into the crowd on Dale Street, hitting an ambulance during his chaotic drive. Even as his vehicle was attacked in retaliation by some onlookers, Doyle continued to blast his horn and shout obscenities, clearly captured on his dashcam.

One of the most heart-stopping instances involved a 10-year-old girl, whom Doyle struck despite her father’s desperate attempts to pull her away. Fortunately, she escaped with minor injuries. Prosecutor Paul Greaney KC made it clear that countless more injuries happened as Doyle continued down Water Street.

Thousands of fans were enjoying the parade, which started at 2.30pm, but the mood darkened when Doyle drove into the crowd just after 6pm. He was promptly apprehended at the scene, putting a halt to his disastrous drive.

Though the parade was meant to be a time for celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League victory, it instead turned into a night of terror for many due to Doyle’s actions. His sentencing brings some closure to a day marred by tragedy.
