🌧️ Brace yourselves, Wales! 🌧️

The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning for this week, and it’s time to prepare. Expect heavy and persistent rain starting Wednesday, 17th December, from 10 am to midnight, primarily affecting the south. Areas like Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan could all be impacted.

Flooding is predicted, leading to potential havoc for homes, businesses, and roads, which might extend journey times. Bus and train services could also be disrupted. 🌊
The forecast mentions “heavy at times” rain moving slowly east, which, combined with recent wet conditions, means disruption and flooding are likely throughout the warning area. Estimates suggest we could see 10-20mm of rain widely, with 40-60mm possible over the high ground.
And there’s more! Another yellow rain warning is in place for Thursday, from 10 am to 7 pm. Rain accumulation is expected to hit 15-25mm, with some parts reaching up to 40-60mm. 🌧️
Stay safe, plan accordingly, and keep an eye on updates for any changes! 🌧️🚗🚌
