🚨 **Mystery in Wales: Rare Eagle Vanishes!** 🚨
A rare white-tailed eagle, part of a special programme to reintroduce these majestic birds to Wales, has mysteriously disappeared. This isn’t just any case of missing wildlife—the police are on it, treating it as **suspicious**! 🦅
Funny enough (or not), these creatures were previously hunted out of existence in Wales. Now, just as they were starting to make a comeback, one vanishes into thin air, and here’s the twist—its satellite tag was surgically removed and cleverly hidden on the moorlands of Newtown, Powys. Sounds like the plot of a wildlife thriller, doesn’t it?
The tag was possibly cut off with a knife and then stashed away—definitely not the work of another bird, right? The authorities are sleuthing around, putting their best detectives on the case, even diving into detailed forensics like DNA and fingerprints. Who knew a birds of prey protection case could become CSI Powys? 🔍
They’re working hand in sleeve with the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation and Forestry England to crack this case. Got clues? They’d love to hear from you. If you’re dialling from within the UK, you can reach the police number 101 and quote the ref 25000766626. Fancy keeping things on the down low? Crimestoppers are ready to take anonymous tips on 0800 555111.
Were you anywhere near the Gwgia Reservoir, Tregynon or the access land by Bryn y Fawnog on 13th September? If you saw anything dodgy, please, let’s bring this feathered fellow back where he belongs!
And hey, even if you aren’t Sherlock, every bit of info helps. Let’s get our eagle-eyed community watching out and bring this mystery to light! 🕵️♂️✨
