🎸 Unveiling a Tribute to the Prince of Darkness! 🎨
A colossal mural of Ozzy Osbourne now graces the side of Kenny’s Vinyl Vault in Abertillery as a heartfelt tribute from its owner, Kenny Kendrick. Once a 13-year-old captivated by the legendary vocals of Black Sabbath, Kenny’s life took a rock ‘n’ roll twist, leading him down a path to becoming a drummer and touring with bands he admired. His passion eventually bloomed into Kenny’s Vinyl Vault—a record shop and community hub that’s become a local gem.
Kenny’s devotion to the rock icon has culminated in this giant mural, a project born out of love and one made possible by a local fundraiser. Community spirit came alive as more than £1,100 was raised in under 24 hours! Kenny recalls that Ozzy’s influence has been so profound it felt like losing a family member when the frontman passed away in July.
Not just a tribute to a rock legend, this vibrant art piece adds some rock ‘n’ roll flair to Abertillery. Local folks, including Sasha who even named her baby Ozzy, are overjoyed, calling it a “brilliant asset” to the town. Local artist ‘Walls by Paul’ brought the mural to life, capturing the essence of Ozzy like never before.
Swing by Kenny’s Vinyl Vault on Church Street this Saturday, December 20th, between 10am and 2pm for a special celebration. It’s the perfect chance to soak in the music, art, and community vibes. Whether you’re a vinyl lover or just in for the vibe, you won’t want to miss this!
🎉 Rock on, Abertillery! 🎉
