π¨ Flood Alerts in North Wales! π¨

It’s a wet mess at Rhosfawr Caravan Park near Pwllheli, as floodwater has surrounded a caravan, still on the rise! π§οΈπ Thanks to persistent rain, caused by recent torrential downpours, the water levels have now reached as high as eight inches. π±

Anita Russell and her partner Kevin Howle, who live in a static caravan on the site, are seeing water reaching their bottom step! Theyβve called in a pump to try and manage the rising tide. ππ§ The couple, who keep their spirits up with 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, have reached out to Natural Resources Wales but were told thereβs little they can do as it’s private property.
As friends chime in with concerns on social media, the Met Office warns of more rain: “Today’s set to be wet and windy, with heavy downpours possibly disrupting your day. π§οΈπ¨ Coastal gales and localised flooding can’t be ruled out.”
Hang on, thereβs hope! βοΈ Friday promises brighter, drier conditions, though showers might make a cheeky appearance before another rain band moves in on Saturday. π¦οΈ
To all in south and west Wales, brace yourselves for more rain today and tomorrow, with a yellow weather warning in place. π‘ Stay safe out there, especially if you need to travel β roads could flood from drains, ditches, and small streams. ππ
Sending good vibes and dry thoughts to Anita, Kevin, and all dealing with the waterworks. Stay safe out there! ππ§ #FloodAlert #StaySafe #UKWeather
