The festive spirit has taken a hit in Blaina, Blaenau Gwent, after a shocking theft of Christmas lights over the weekend. Around 70 metres of bright, twinkling joy vanished from two spots in town, including a tree in St Peter’s Church and another near Blaina Institute. This brazen act has left the community fuming just days after the lights were lovingly set up for everyone to enjoy.
The Nantyglo and Blaina Town Council expressed their disappointment, noting the significant effort and cost involved in creating a cheerful display for all. They’re urging anyone with information to reach out to the police or the council directly.
