Meet Sarah Alcock, a true hero from Oakwood, Derby, who goes above and beyond for her team and tiny patients at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre. Despite having countless Christmas Days away from home, Sarah puts her heart into the neonatal unit, ensuring the little ones and her fellow staff aren’t left wanting. Her hubby Dave couldn’t agree more, dubbing her a ‘hero’. 💙
This Christmas is huge for Sarah, as it’s her adorable 8-month-old daughter’s first! Born at just 25 weeks and a teeny 1lb 12oz, it’s a miraculous celebration. Yet again, Sarah set aside personal festivities for her calling. But this year, thanks to easyJet Holidays, she’ll take a well-deserved break!
She’s not the only one – NHS nurse Nicky Starkowitz and care home manager Niccii Gillett are also enjoying surprise getaways. Nicky’s had a challenging year too, after her son and herself faced serious health battles.
Across the UK, many selflessly work through the holidays. A massive 28% say they missed out on a proper holiday this year, and a huge proportion of parents have spent Christmas away from loved ones. But easyJet Holidays wanted to give back, offering a few of these incredible folks the chance to unwind and recharge.
