Exciting times ahead in Welsh rugby! 🏉 As the end-of-year deadline approaches, everyone from players to fans is eagerly waiting on the Welsh Rugby Union’s decision about potentially cutting a team. Meanwhile, rugby fans have something to cheer about! Olly Cracknell, the versatile backrower who made his Welsh Test debut at 31, has inked a new deal with Leicester Tigers. After moving from London Irish and wowing fans with his performance, Cracknell’s next chapter with Leicester looks promising. Coach Geoff Parling couldn’t be prouder: “He’s a testament to resilience and gives his all for the Tigers.”
On the international front, Whitney Hansen, daughter of legendary coach Sir Steve Hansen, is making waves! She’s just been appointed head coach of the Black Ferns, becoming only the second woman to hold this role. Whitney’s enthusiasm is infectious as she gears up to lead the team through a series of Test matches and a historic tour series against the British & Irish Lions in 2027. 🏆
