🎄🚂 **Attention Train Travellers in Wales This Christmas!**

If you’re planning to travel by train over the festive season, here’s what you need to know: some major engineering works are happening, and several service changes will be in place. 📆🛠️

Here’s the lowdown:
– 🚫 No train services or replacement buses on the 25th and 26th of December.

– ⏰ Services will end earlier than normal on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
– 🚆 Trains will start later on the 27th of December.
On New Year’s Day, expect a full mainline service but only limited hourly local services in Cardiff and The Valleys. Plus, Fflecsi and TrawsCymru services will also wrap up early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and they’re taking a break on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
🚧 Highlighted engineering work includes:
– Between 24th and 31st December: Works west of Cardiff Central could mean adjusted timings and platform changes.
– From 29th December to 1st January: Engineering tasks between Whitland/Haverfordwest and Milford Haven.
– 4th January to 24th January: The Aberdare line to Pontypridd will be closed for essential safety work.
Marie Daly from Transport for Wales advises planning ahead: “It’s more crucial than ever to plan your travels. Our teams will be working hard to maintain your journeys across the Wales and Borders network. Thanks for your patience, and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” 🎉
