🎉 This festive season, I took a leap of faith and joined a Christmas night out with a group of women I had never met before, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience! 🌟
Making friends as an adult can be a real challenge, especially if you’ve moved to a new city and left your social circle behind. That’s exactly where Nina Skalonja found herself. After moving from Australia to Swansea, Nina was keen to expand her network beyond her fiancé’s circle. From the anxiety of meeting new people to the joy of forming new friendships, it was a night to remember. Picture this: 28 of us gathered, dressed to the nines, with cocktails in hand and conversations flowing just like a night out with old friends. 🎈
The event started with the warmest welcome, akin to the camaraderie you’d expect in a ladies’ loo on a night out. We indulged in goodies, enjoyed a divine charcuterie board, and played a cheeky game called B*tch Santa – think Secret Santa with a twist! 🎁
From young mums seeking a night out, to newcomers finding their footing, the group was as diverse as it was delightful. We all came from different walks of life, unlikely to meet if not for this wonderful initiative. Nina’s idea of creating a supportive and fun environment truly reminds us of the magic of putting yourself out there. 🤝
This night out not only brought me new friends but also rejuvenated my spirit with warmth and joy. It was a perfect reminder that stepping out of your comfort zone can be incredibly rewarding.
