š Facing what could be her last Christmas, Angel Madu’s world turned upside down when a lump she thought was from breastfeeding became the start of a harrowing journey. Initially brushing off the pain, this 39-year-old nurse from Kings Langley discovered she had stage four breast cancer after it spread to her liver, lungs, bones, and lymph nodes. Despite trying every treatment available through the NHS, she was recently given the heartbreaking news that nothing more could be offered to her here. š

But Angel is not giving up the fight! Taking matters into her own hands, she has arranged to travel to Mexico today for a specialised treatment that might be her final shot. Yet, with an eye-watering cost of Ā£75,000, she needs support to make it possible. āļøā¤ļø

Her local church has already raised over Ā£30,000 for her cause, showing the incredible power of community and kindness. Angel’s friend Gemma, inspired by Angel’s selflessnessāespecially her frontline service during the pandemicāspearheaded this effort. With unwavering faith in the generosity of others, Angel is taking a leap in hopes of returning to her children, aged four and eight, healthier and stronger. š

Life dealt Angel an unexpected hand, but her courageous spirit and the outpouring of support prove that hope shines brightly even in the darkest times. Thereās still a way to contribute and be part of this touching journey, helping to keep this angel on earth just a bit longer.
