**Caught in Style: Designer-Loving Drug Dealer Busted!**

A drug dealer from Barry had his criminal lifestyle abruptly interrupted when he was caught conducting a deal right outside his home, without realising he was under police surveillance. Jacob Kennedy, 20, had a penchant for luxury, flaunting items from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Dior, but detectives weren’t impressed by his high-end tastes.

In a cleverly executed operation, officers observed Kennedy exiting his flat, quickly doing a hand-off in a waiting car, and returning inside—enough reason for the police to swoop in and arrest him. Inside his flat, a search uncovered nearly 60 grammes of high-purity cocaine and 39 ecstasy tablets, alongside Kennedy’s collection of designer goods, seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The buck didn’t stop with Jacob; as investigations dug deeper, a larger operation unraveled. By August 2025, a mysterious ‘Kenno’ drugs line surfaced during phone analysis, unveiling connections with further suspects, including Samantha Kennedy, 41, Christine Doyle, 42, and Robson Mallam, 22.
Their downfall led to significant discoveries, including safes packed with Class A and B drugs worth about £15,000 during a search at Doyle’s residence. The court didn’t show mercy when sentencing in Cardiff Crown Court: Jacob received nine years and six months, while Samantha and Robson got four years and ten months each. Christine received two years and ten months, with an additional two months for breaching prior orders.
Detective Constable Owain Grandin remarked on the operation, saying, “These arrests cut into cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, and cannabis supplies throughout Barry. We’re committed to acting on public information—keep it coming!”
