The final days of Jeffrey Epstein were marked by turmoil and fear, as new documents from the US Department of Justice reveal. Before his apparent suicide in August 2019, Epstein reportedly shared his deep anxiety with a prison psychologist, expressing dread about returning to his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York.

These papers unveil Epstein’s psychological distress, comparing himself to Dustin Hoffman’s character in “Rain Man,” suggesting a fracture in his mental state. Just weeks before his death, Epstein had an incident resulting in mysterious neck marks, which he couldn’t explain. Despite expressing panic over the situation, he was returned to the same Special Housing Unit, where he later died.

Fresh details are fuelling ongoing debates about the circumstances of his death. Epstein’s brother, Mark, even reached out to the FBI, convinced his brother had been murdered, although authorities concluded it was suicide after an investigation. Despite the suspicions, no solid evidence has been found to suggest foul play.
Epstein’s cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, was cleared of any wrongdoing after supposedly trying to resuscitate him following the first incident. However, by the time Epstein passed, Tartaglione had been moved to another cell.
This newly released documentation sheds further light on Epstein’s mental state and adds layers to the story, amid widespread demands for transparency in the Epstein investigation. Stay tuned for more developments as this unfolds.
