🔥 Van Crushed in Fly-Tipping Crackdown! 🔥

Nicholas Blackwell, 35, from Brackla, Bridgend, found himself in hot water after dumping and burning random household items in Croeserw and Glynneath. His careless actions, which included abandoning a mattress, suitcase, TV, and more, led to hefty consequences. 🚫
Caught by Bridgend Council’s waste enforcement team, Blackwell’s unregistered white Mercedes Sprinter van was seized and CRUSHED! 😲 All this after he advertised waste removal services on Facebook without a valid waste carrier licence. Not a smart move, Nicholas.

After pleading guilty to two offences under the Environmental Protection Act, Blackwell faced Swansea Magistrates’ Court and received a 12-month Community Order, 160 hours of unpaid work, and fines totalling nearly £1,000. 💷
Cllr Scott Jones from Neath Port Talbot Council emphasised, “Fly-tipping is a blight on our communities and will not be tolerated.” Residents are urged to always check that their chosen waste remover is licensed to avoid hefty penalties. It’s time to keep our environment clean and green! 🌿
A big shoutout to South Wales Police for their assistance in this significant case! 🙌 Remember, if you’re hiring someone to help you shift household junk, make sure they’re legit. Let’s work together to stamp out fly-tipping for good! 🛑
