Louis Rees-Zammit is set to continue his impressive run at full-back for the Bristol Bears, thanks to the strategic vision of coach Pat Lam. Known for his blistering speed on the wing, Rees-Zammit has embraced his new role with flair, scoring two tries and setting up another in a recent nail-biter against Newcastle Red Bulls. Lam firmly believes this Welsh star can become a world-class full-back, a move that’s sure to catch the eye of Wales head coach Steve Tandy ahead of the Six Nations.
Meanwhile, at Saracens, Jamie George is buzzing about the upcoming addition of Tomos Williams. The scrum-half, renowned for his game-changing skills, will bring an extra edge to the squad next season. George couldn’t contain his excitement after witnessing Williams’ match-winning assist against Gloucester, hinting that Saracens’ depth and skill are set to soar with this “special” player joining their ranks.
On a more sombre note, Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel expressed his disappointment following their tough 26-19 loss to Ospreys during the Boxing Day derby. Despite dominating the first half, Scarlets couldn’t capitalise on their possession. Peel shared his team’s frustration and highlighted the need to shake off the defeat as they gear up for a busy schedule ahead.
