🎉 Attention all pensioners! Get ready for a pleasant surprise in your bank account this week. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is delivering state pension payments up to £921 a day early! 🎉

With New Year’s Day falling on a bank holiday, payments usually scheduled for Thursday, 1st January, will now land in your account on Wednesday, 31st December. This means a bit of extra cash to welcome the New Year! 💷

Here’s the scoop: if you’re a new state pensioner with a full National Insurance record, expect to see a tidy sum of £921 coming your way. For those who’ve been on the state pension a bit longer, you could receive up to £705.80, not including any Pension Credit you might receive.
However, there’s a small trade-off. With this advance payment, you’ll have to wait a bit longer until your next one at the end of January. But hey, who can complain about getting money ahead of time? 🙌
And just a little reminder: Your pension normally hits your bank, building society, or credit union account every four weeks. If you ever face a delay beyond this reshuffle, it’s always a good idea to give your payment office a quick ring.
Cheers to a financially healthy start to 2026! 🍾✨
