Exciting Rugby Update! 🏉

Meet Jack Walsh, the versatile talent lighting up the field with the Ospreys since his 2022 move from Exeter Chiefs. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Jack grew up in Australia but has found a home in Welsh rugby. Thanks to the five-year residency rule, he’ll be eligible to play for Wales just in time for the 2027 Rugby World Cup!

Ospreys head coach Mark Jones can’t stop singing his praises. “Jack’s got a bit of everything,” says Jones. “He’s a running threat, has an impressive skillset, and his leadership on and off the field is just top-notch.”
Despite his relatively small stature, Jack’s technical prowess and commitment to improving his kicking game and aerial skills make him a standout player. Plus, he’s got the mentality and emotional control that coaches dream of.
And there’s more exciting potential for our national side! The Welsh Rugby Union is scouting talent globally, with players like Canterbury Crusaders’ Tahlor Cahill, Exeter’s Kane James, and even Springbok’s Cameron Hanekom on their radar.
Jack himself has hinted at his international aspirations, expressing willingness to don the Welsh jersey if the chance arises. “If that opportunity comes, I’d grab it with both hands,” he says.
With options to represent Australia, the USA, or Wales, the future looks bright for Jack. But one thing’s for sure, he loves life in Wales and is aiming to keep shining for the Ospreys.
Stay tuned to see if Jack will be flying the dragon’s flag on the world stage soon! 🏆🐉
