Farewell to a Community Gem! π»ποΈ

Looks like Cardiff’s New Bridge Inn is set for a transformation! This once bustling pub at the heart of Trowbridge is about to make way for new beginnings. Plans have been approved to replace the old favourite with 23 modern flats and a ground-floor shop. Perfectly positioned on a corner plot, the new development promises to bring economic benefits by creating construction jobs and business opportunities in the area. π ποΈ
Nestled in a friendly neighbourhood close to local conveniences, the new high-quality flats will no doubt attract many. The proposals include 51 cycle parking spots and a generous 300sqm of green space. And who doesnβt love a sustainable touch? π΄ββοΈπΏ

Though itβs sad to say goodbye to a place where memories were made and stories shared, the new development is all set to breathe new life into Abergele Road. The council granted approval in December, and developers have up to three years to kickstart this new chapter for the site. πποΈ
What do you think about this change? Will the new plans fill the void left by the New Bridge Inn, or is there simply no replacing the local pub? Share your thoughts below! πβ¬οΈ
