🏉 What a start to the year for Ospreys! 🎉
Ospreys kicked off 2026 with a bang, securing a 33-22 victory over Cardiff at the Brewery Field, and jumping into the United Rugby Championship play-off spots. 💥
Kieran Hardy was on fire, bagging two tries and expertly controlling the game. Not to be outdone, Keelan Giles, Sam Parry, and Iestyn Hopkins also made their mark on the scoreboard! Dan Edwards added eight crucial points from kicks, solidifying the Ospreys’ commanding performance.
Despite Cardiff’s spirited effort, including two tries from Josh Adams and one each from Taulupe Faletau and Javan Sebastian, they left with just a losing bonus point. 🚫
It was a thrilling match-up, with Ospreys showing skill and agility, especially in the second half. Highlights included Phil Cokanasiga’s dazzling pass to set up Hopkins for a try and Hardy’s tactical brilliance. Although forced to reshuffle after Hardy’s exit, Giles impressively stepped up to scrum-half duties.
Cardiff put up a fight with clever plays, including a stylish backs move leading to Adams’ second try, but Ospreys’ dominance was clear from the start.
