A video of a brawl purportedly happening at Manchester’s Trafford Centre went viral, but there’s a twist! It seems this wild encounter actually took place at the St David’s Dewi Sant shopping centre in Cardiff. 🤔 The clip, featuring two men exchanging blows while onlookers recorded on their phones, racked up over half a million views online. Some even consulted an AI chatbot to verify it, which incorrectly marked it as a New Year’s Eve altercation in Manchester.
News outlets jumped on the story, but eagle-eyed viewers quickly noticed discrepancies, pointing out differences in the flooring and decor compared to the Trafford Centre. Comments flooded in: “Not the correct flooring, walls, or lights for the Trafford Centre, pal,” and “That’s definitely not the Trafford Centre!”
What initially looked like a chaos-filled New Year’s scene in Manchester was, in fact, a blast from the past in Cardiff. Reports now suggest the footage is from 2021, yet it recently stirred up social media. 🎥💥
The Trafford Centre has confirmed it wasn’t their venue, and news outlets are following up with the Cardiff location for more details. It’s a reminder to take viral content with a pinch of salt and verify before sharing! Stay tuned for more local news updates. 📲
