Tragic news out of Carmarthenshire: A loving great grandmother, Nesta Jeffreys, was tragically killed in a crash on the A48 nearly 18 months ago. Now, a 76-year-old woman has been charged in connection with her death.
Nesta was described by her grieving family as a “dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother”. She lost her life in a collision while she was a passenger on that fateful day back in July 2024. Her family remains heartbroken over the sudden loss of someone so cherished.
Charged with causing death by careless driving, Margaret Lyddiate from Upper Cwmtwrch made her appearance in Llanelli Magistrates’ Court recently. It’s been a long wait for answers, and although no plea was entered, proceedings are set to continue next month in Swansea Crown Court.
Let’s keep Nesta’s family in our thoughts as they navigate this painful chapter. Stay tuned for more updates on this case.
