🎥 Icy Thrills and Chills in Bangor! 🌨️

Hold onto your hats! A wild dash for cover unfolded on a snowy hill in north Wales, and it was caught on camera. The footage shows a VW car slipping out of control on the icy Ffordd Coed Mawr road. Despite the driver’s desperate attempts to regain control, the car veered across the street, narrowly avoiding disaster with oncoming traffic and ploughing into a parked Vauxhall. The impact even set off the Vauxhall’s alarm and sent it sliding further down the road!
Social media is buzzing with reactions. Many are criticising the driver’s method of braking on the ice—some reckon engine braking would’ve done the trick. But the true scene-stealer? A postman casually strolling by in shorts amidst the chaos of the icy tumble. Talk about cool under pressure!

Locals reported that the road had been gritted earlier, but clearly, Mother Nature had other plans. One concerned resident had even warned about the slippery conditions, advising folks to steer clear as cars wrestled with traction on the snow-covered incline.
While snow graces parts of west Wales, including Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, and even leaves a powdery layer over Swansea, the Met Office isn’t done with us yet. Brace yourselves—with a series of yellow warnings for snow and ice across Wales until the weekend, it’s time to bundle up and stay safe.

Whether you’re navigating by car or on foot, exercise caution and keep an eye on those weather alerts! ❄️ Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments—has anyone else had close calls on these wintry Welsh roads? 🚗💨
