A heart-breaking crash has left a family devastated after a mum-of-four lost her life. Donna Ball, 48, tragically died from severe injuries after a van collided with her car on the A4119, near Tonypandy. Her young daughter and several others were also seriously injured in the incident.

The van, reportedly on the wrong side of the road, hit Donna’s car head-on, causing fatal injuries. She was rushed to the University Hospital of Wales, but sadly, she passed away the next day. Donna was identified by her loving husband, Howard Ball, who has shared a touching tribute, describing the profound loss and emptiness their family now faces.

The driver of the van, a 19-year-old, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, as investigations continue.

Howard’s tribute expressed gratitude to the emergency services and medical teams who treated Donna and their daughter, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the air ambulance and hospital staff.
In the wake of this tragedy, a fundraising page has been set up in Donna’s memory, already raising over £7,700. Donna is remembered as an incredibly kind and generous person who always helped those in need.
Please keep Donna’s family in your thoughts and share any information you might have about the crash to assist with the ongoing investigation. Rest in peace, Donna. 🌹
